How to play
- Aim with the pointer or tap the felt. Adjust power, then shoot. Left / Right or A / D fine-tune your aim; Up / Down or W / S adjust power; Space shoots. Spin is optional.
- Pocket solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15), then call a pocket and sink the 8-ball. The table stays open after the break; the first legal pot afterwards assigns groups.
- Pocket one of your balls legally to keep your turn. A scratch, no contact, wrong ball first, or no cushion contact after a miss gives the opponent ball in hand. Click clear felt to place the cue ball.
- A legal break pockets an object ball or sends at least four object balls to cushions. An illegal break gives ball in hand. An 8-ball on the break is re-spotted.
- Pocketing the 8-ball early, in the wrong called pocket, or with a foul loses the rack. Three missed shot clocks lose a multiplayer rack. Solo has no clock.
- These are PLAY IS JOY house 8-ball rules: ordinary pots need no call, mixed-group pots assign the first group potted, and all fouls allow placement anywhere. No jump or masse shots. Both players use the same cue.
Keyboard: Left / Right or A / D: aim. Up / Down or W / S: power. Hold Shift and move the mouse to set spin. Space: shoot. Use Tab for spin and pocket selection.
